Terms and conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website, which is operated by Blueband Accountancy Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 08394694, registered office 16 Marion Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 2DD.
They cover the website only. They are separate from the engagement letter that sets out the terms on which we provide accountancy services to our clients.
2. Using this website
The content on this site, including the tax calculator, is general information. It is not personalised financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice that takes your own circumstances into account.
3. The tax calculator
The calculator on this site gives an illustrative estimate only, based on published rates for the 2026/27 tax year for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It assumes a single, straightforward source of income and the standard personal allowance. It does not take account of student loan repayments, pension contributions, dividends, benefits in kind, non-standard tax codes, Scottish income tax rates or anything else specific to you. Figures produced by it must not be used as the basis for a filing or a financial decision.
4. No client relationship from browsing
Viewing this website or sending an enquiry through it does not make you a client and does not create a professional relationship. An engagement begins only once we have issued, and you have accepted, an engagement letter.
5. Intellectual property
The content, design, logo and code of this website are owned by or licensed to Blueband Accountancy Limited and may not be copied, republished or reused without our written permission.
6. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from action taken solely on the basis of information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Links to other sites
Where we link to other websites, we do so for convenience. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for it.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please write to us at 16 Marion Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 2DD or email admin@blueband.tax. We will acknowledge your complaint and set out how we intend to deal with it.
Blueband is run by a member of AAT (the Association of Accounting Technicians). If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, you can refer it to AAT, details of which are available at aat.org.uk.
