1. Who we are
Blueband Accountancy Limited ("Blueband", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08394694, with our registered office at 16 Marion Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 2DD.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration reference ZA153688.

2. The personal data we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, business name, email address and phone number
- Information you send through the contact form on this website
- Financial and business information you share with us so that we can provide our services
- Identification documents collected as part of anti-money laundering checks, where we are legally required to obtain them
- Technical information such as your IP address and the pages you visit, collected through analytics cookies where you have accepted them
3. How we use it
- To answer enquiries and provide quotes
- To deliver accounting, tax and advisory services under an agreed engagement
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering checks and record keeping
- To administer our own business, including invoicing and credit control
- To understand how this website is used, where you have accepted analytics cookies
4. Our lawful bases
We rely on performance of a contract where we are providing services to you, legal obligation where the law requires us to hold or report information, legitimate interests for running and administering our practice, and consent for optional analytics cookies and for any marketing you have opted into. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.
5. How long we keep it
We keep client records for at least six years after the end of our engagement, which reflects HMRC requirements and our professional obligations. Enquiry data that does not lead to a client relationship is held for up to twelve months and then deleted.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing purposes. We may share it with HMRC and Companies House where we are filing on your behalf or where disclosure is legally required, with our software and IT providers who process data on our behalf under contract, and with our insurers or professional advisers where necessary. Some of our software providers may process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for data to be deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for data portability. 8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we have the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
